Conservation Engineering Consultants are sustainable engineering design consultants, offering advice to clients on the energy consumption, carbon emissions and the environmental impacts of the buildings being designed/occupied. Their background in building services engineering gives them a sound, basic understanding of how and where buildings consume energy. The staff include qualified DEAP Assessors, Commercial BER (NEAP) Assessors and registered BREEAM Assessors.
Their main environmental impacts arise due to their use of offices and transport. In order to reduce these impacts they are reviewing the efficiency of their offices in terms of heating, lighting and equipment uses. They endeavour to car share and use pubic transport where possible to attend meeting. Conservation Engineering Consultants projects include Watermint, a development in Cabinteely containing Ireland's first A1 rated properties.
